Picture yourself a dark basement, a place between wild mountains and the fjords of the western coast of Norway, the combination of an ancient Norwegian attitude, 70s classic rock and metal. During the WW-II legendary fighter Supermarine Spitfire ruled the sky in these areas, todays Spitfire are delivigering the same supersonic and fire-spitting goods!
Spitfire started up in 2006 under the name Supermarine Spitfire with Ole Nic on drums, Bøbben on guitars, Bønna on bass and Roger on vocals/guitar. The intension was very clear, to make no compremise music. The band have since then supported acts like Mannfred Mann, Skambankt, Stonegard, Ungdomskulen etc, and played Stoy-Festival, Lost Weekend and Hove-Festival showcase. In 2009 MK.1 was released on Nordic Records.
At the end of 2009 Roger called it a day, and the search for a new vocalist began. Iggy then come flying in, With him as our new pilot we found the time was right to change the bands name to Spitfire, and now we are flying high again!
